President's Message

Our Annual Fundraising Banquet & Auction will be Saturday, March 14, 2009.  The auction booklet for Saturday will be available at Outfitters’ Night, Friday, March 13.  Both events will be held at Eagle Eye Golf Club again this year.

There will be a full agenda Friday night with outfitters, taxidermy, silent auction, live auction, chapter awards and presentations from outfitters, as well as fabulous food – a lot of fun, guaranteed! 

Now, if for some reason, you cannot find anything to buy at auction (either night), you can still help the cause.  Ron Lanford has developed the general raffle table with $10,000 worth of guns, scopes, binoculars, and all kinds of other hunting needs.  Buy a $400 packet of tickets and you not only may win, but you will be helping our mission.

Recognizing my responsibility to wildlife, habitat, and future Generations, I pledge:

• To conduct myself in the field so as to make a positive contribution to wildlife and ecosystems.

• To improve my skills as a woodsman and marksman to insure humane harvesting of wildlife.

• To comply with all game laws, in the spirit of Fair Chase, and to influence my companions accordingly.

• To accept my responsibility to provide all possible assistance to game enforcement officers.

• To waste no opportunity to teach young people the full meaning of this code of ethics.

• To reflect in word and behavior only credit upon the fraternity of sportsman, and to demonstrate abiding respect for game, habitat, and property where I am privileged to hunt.
